I work. Of sorts... I try to fit it around all the normal bits of family life and also the more tricky bits of being a mother of a child with a disability. Work is not a choice, it is a necessity for me, as it is for many of the 800,000 families bringing up children with disabilities.

Scope asked me to blog about the reaction I and others like me, have had to being a working mother in our circumstances. You can read my blog here: http://blog.scope.org.uk/2014/09/15/working-mother-of-a-disabled-child-a-lifestyle-choice/ I'm sure many of you have something to say on this, and I'd love to chat to you, so please get in touch!

Hi Hannah, I have so much empathy for you. I have talked to many parents and they struggle to coordinate dealing with social services, wheelchair services, doctors etc. Do you have things to sort out at the moment? If so, are they going smoothly?
