Could my 34-year old daughter be diagnosed with cerebral palsy?

MY 34 year old daughter has a history of disability since birth including deafness, poor eyesight and mobility problems and learning disabilities - it has recently been mentioned in recent specialist notes that she has a history of cerebral palsy which reading about would make sense with her problems - could she be diagnosed properly at this age now

My understanding is that that wording is a doctors thing - generally you wouldnt say cerebral palsy is something you have a history of, (like chest infections for example)  but something that you have or not, like deafness. If it's on her medical notes that she has a history of CP, then she has CP.  Is there something that you think would be different if she had what you call a proper diagnosis?  I know sometimes services (respite care, direct payments) and benefits (like PIP and ESA) feel a bit easier to get if you can say (as in your case) "my daughter has cerebral palsy, which for her is shown by the fact she has hearing and visual impairments, learning disabilities, and mobility problems".
    Does that help at all?
