Hi Pauline123
There is no set age, however the tests psychologists use are split into early years and school years. The school years start from age 6. Results using the school years tend to be clearer as during early years children do not necessarily develop at a constant rate and literacy difficulties can sometimes just be developmental, i.e. the child hasn't grasped some concepts yet but there isn't a specific difficulty.
