Fighting for support for 83 year old mum

I care for my 83 yrold mother wwho had had a stroke lleaving her unable to walk or talk. she also has dementia so needs 24hr care. Fighting for help just not the resourses available. cost of any help with care is £20 pr hr. did pay for her to go into respite £1750 for a week.. all she is getting from local council toward care help id £50 pr week...

Hi @gran4, welcome to the community. I am sorry you are having such a stressful time. There is quite a bit of information on Age UK including this:
"Most local councils charge for the services at home they provide. Some place an upper weekly limit on the amount you have to pay. Before charging you for services, your local council must work out how much you can afford to pay and this amount should leave you with a reasonable level of income.Check your local council’s website for their charging information."
