hello everyone. I've just discovered your site and am so glad to have an outlet..I am 53 my daughters 28 and after a complete failure of provision in glos after the "cuts" she know lives with me in Bristol. (That's the short version) for a year now..the problem I'm trying to resolve is social events for her..I don't know where to turn ..can anyone help in this area please..?

Also I need help for the best independent living company for support in Bristol ..we've had bad experiences in Glos but we are looking again in Bristol..

There are Gateway Clubs that provide social activities here in West Yorkshire, don't know if they operate in your area.

West of England Centre for Inclusive Living (WECIL) is a local disability information and advice service run by and for disabled people in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Swindon.
Services include:
- Advocacy
- Benefits advice
- Disabled people's helpline
- Mental health advocacy
- Services for young people
- Direct payments
- Payroll service
- Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
I also found the Bristol Autism Support group. The BASS Autism Services for Adults and the Bristol Autism Project.
