Today I felt quite good and so I tackled a job that needed doing.
I was drilling a hole and then the drill bit snapped and the remainder of the drill bit in the drill went into my wrist.
I pulled it out and a bright red spurt of blood a few inches high and so I put pressure on and called my wife. She brought a towel and I released pressure and again a squirt of blood a few inches high came out and so she called for an ambulance. I don't like using the precious time of our emergency services but I'm sat on the floor and unable to get into wheelchair.
Luckily no loss of sensation in fingers and I can move fingers okay and eventually the blood slowed to normal bleeding and so they dressed the wound as I said I didn't want to go to A&E.
Its now very awkward to propel the wheelchair and a lesson learnt.

Oh dear! Unfortunate eh? Hope you washed wound well. Whenever I've had cuts, deep or so etc including rusty nail in foot I clean area well, then salt few minutes , stings but great antiseptic and promotes faster healing. Wash salt off, dry well, Savlon, plasters, bandages etc as required. Çhange dressing at least once day. Works every time. Daily check your wound is healing.

Hey Zec, sorry to hear of your accident but glad to hear you're ok and have had it seen to. It all seemed to be going quite well as far as the first sentence!

Yes the paramedics cleaned it out @mojocain and had a tetanus jab.
Dressing changed today, it's just very swollen and the family are constantly making jokes now, but I wouldn't expect anything less lol -
Well, them paramedics know the drill (groan) for that sort of thing then !
