Hi @careingperson Welcome spine as a multi pains with nerves through the spine and muscular pains that also have a effect that you can not explain until you have experiences. You are limited with physiotherapy but to ease your back is to have a sit posture not slouch position. You will find this will provoke the nerve spinal cord. A tip which never fails to people who ask me in the sporting areas is get a hot bean bag, You can get microwave bags put in the area you get the most pain this will relive the pain. If you have a hot water bottle with a fur cover again that also works fill one third get all air out fasten then it is much easy the place in position. Have a word with your doctor to question if the appointment can be brought forward as the pain is to unbearable and can anything be given for the detrition of pain. We have a chronic pain site which also have a variety of people who are going through such pain. Well worth a look but keep heat on and that will ease with posture in a correct position. Take care.

I find that freeze spray helps with any spinal/leg pains I get.
