I work in a children's nursery I have spina bifida a lot of the younger children take a little longer to get used to me ,as they can see by my sticks and they way I walk that I'm a little different to them. How can I help them understand disability in general.

Personally I would explain to them, I enjoy the same activities as other non disabled people but i sometimes have to differently from them. Focus on the fun activities, but be prepared to answer questions about other things. I get asked about anything and I answer really honestly. I think it is important to answer questions because they don't have many opportunities to find things out.
