    Hi colinr1

The answer to your question is no. If you get Universal Credit (UC) and are then awarded PIP it does not affect entitlement to UC. It neither increases UC nor decreases it. If your daughter lives alone and no one claims Carer's Allowance in respect of her then she might be able to get extra amounts through income related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA). But it is not always possible/advisable to do this and i suggest you look carefully through this briefing by Housing Systems.

Whilst PIP does not lead to an increase in UC your daughter should get an extra £318.76 per month in her UC as a result of the decision that she has a limited capability for work related activity.

It's not possible to be sure without knowing more about your daughter's circumstances but if your daughter lives alone it could be up to £41.10 per week that she would be better off on income related ESA than UC.
