Hi, can anyone tell me about cerebral cortex damage, my son has been told by our doctor he has this , I don't know if it gets worse or what to look for as he's 26, so I can't speak to his doctor and he has not told me much about it, would he be able to claim any sort of disability allowance he has dyspraxia as well but I have lots of information for that condition as he was diagnosed at primary school, would be grateful if there's someone who could guide me in right direction

Hi @jo1970,
The charity Headway may be able to help you find out more about cerebral cortex damage. Their website has lots of useful information about what you can do if someone you know has a brain injury.
In terms of disability allowances, have you tried our online benefits checker? It's a handy little tool which should be able to help you find out what benefits your son can claim.
I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, then please do get in touch.Liam
