Hi all, I'm a woman in my 40s living in the Eastern UK. I've had mental health problems since childhood, and chronic pain since I was a small child. My severe chronic pain began 10 years ago, however, after spinal surgery for a herniated disc. I managed to do an ultra-flexible, home-based, part-time research job for a couple of years, but both my physical and mental health crashed, so I haven't worked in the past 4 years. I'm focussing on pain management and mental health treatment. Unfortunately, constant benefits reassessments (fail, reconsideration, tribunal appeal, win, repeat) have been grinding me down, and I'm recovering slightly less every time. I'm sure many of you have had similar experiences.

Just a hi to say I like your spring like photo.
I think back to the DLA all those years ago and initially I got turned down. The reason was nobody wanted to sign the forms as the professional. I got told xx should and xx passed me back to someone else. So nobody did!March 12
