I am 12 and have Cerebal palsy. It's mild I guess, I can't really play sport or anything , no one talks to me, unless they are bullying me and I eat my lunch alone.
People don't understand what it's like. I can't find any group for people like me.
Can any one help ?

Where do you live?

I mean in some areas they run groups to tackle bullying, might be a good place to start. Build some confidence in that, become a champion for that cause. You maybe surprised how many people are bullied in school. With your personal story you could inspire a lot of young people.

I could easily have joined here saying I was any age I fancied and loaded up a picture to match.
Please stay safe online.
Could you maybe shock the adults around you and demand a meeting where those in responsible positions actually listen to your concerns and difficulties as outlined in your post?
You shouldn't be left to deal with this on your own and even worse you shouldn't be left out in the cold.
I hate bullies and bullying.

Hi @Oscarb
Welcome to the Community.
I am so sorry and angry to read what you are going through. I can relate, I was the only person in a wheelchair and my comprehensive school and not all of the student body was over the moon that I was there. It is a very lonely place. We have some useful resources (I include the link here) https://www.scope.org.uk/support/young-disabled-people/bullying
What is very important is that you keep talking about what's happening and you know that you are not alone. We are here for you to talk with and we are very glad to have you in our Community!

Yes sorry Hun for asking where you live, especially in this day and age. Just the area I meant, maybe we can help on here by finding a few groups for you nearby.

So sorry that you are feeling this way, Its a problem for most disabled children in mainstream, please try to stay positive, are there any after school groups you could join, that would increase your chances of finding a school buddy.

Hi @Oscarb, and welcome to the community!
I'm so sorry to hear about what you're going through. Is there a teacher or somebody at your school who you could talk to about the bullying?
We also recently welcomed @JackJones03 to the community: maybe you two might like to have a chat? -
sounds like my teens generally at breaks at school i hid in the libary and would read. That way i would be left alone.I found it particly hard in my teens as my teachers assumed being special needs meant i was stupid.I would suggest finding other teens online via gaming to talk to.Just be careful not to share your real name, location or things like phone number, email or facebook.

Do you have a senco in school? Or someone from the council who comes to school to make a plan for your education support? My daughter is partially sighted and has someone who goes into her school regularly. When my daughter was being bullied for using a cane and having to sit in front of the class the other kids were mean to her. She told her sen co-ordinator who made sure all the teachers were made aware of it. The children were dealt with. If you haven't already ask your parents to look on your local council site for extra help in school. They also put you in touch with groups for children suffering from the same medical conditions. They are free where we live and my daughters made lots of friends and learnt life skills. Also anothe thing that helped my daughter was doing an assembly about her eye condition and teaching the kids how it affected her and what they could do to help. If your the only child with Cerebal palsy get your parents to talk to the teachers and arrange something like that for you. Hope you find something that helps you.
