Diagnosis- "Bipolar rapid cycle hypomania II- co mordant anxiety"
I've just been turned down for pip after a face to face assesment. Having read their reasons I don't recognise the person they are writing about. Most of the report by the"Nurse" is a completely twisted fabrication, almost every one of our answers to her questions are written up as the oposite of what was said, I feel physically depressed, soul destroyingly shocked & sickened by her lies. How can these people live with themselves?
On a practical help due to lack of info. I have been told that pip will stop in 1 month, my carers £60 per wk will stop too. Does this mean my esa support group payments stop too?

Hello Steve @steve7591 and a warm welcome to the community. I am sorry it has taken so long to get back to you - we must have been short of volunteers this morning.
I am profoundly sorry to read of your difficulties and just wish that I found myself reading of matters like them a lot less often than I do. Unfortunately there are so many complaints about incompetence at best and cruelty at worst that it is sometimes quite hard to believe it is happening. Clearly, though, it is, and you are not alone in this.
Having said that, I'm not qualified to give you the answers/responses you need, but we do have people here who are. If you will kindly bear with us, some of our experienced members and specialised advisors will get back to you just as soon as possible.
Warmest best wishes to you,
Richard -
Hi steve and welcome
To answer your question, no your ESA will not stop, it is not connected to PIP.
As you are in SG It will continue until you fail a reveiw or fail to attend one
So back to your PIP
When did you received your decision letter ?
what is the date on the letter ?
Your PIP and carers will continue for four week from that date
Have you asked for a copy of your assessment report ?
Have you asked for an MR ?
again you have one month from the date on your letter to ask for an MR

Hi I recieved the letter yesterday Sat 7th April. but the letter was dated 30th of March. its a sunday now My carer says she will make a phonecall some time next week but she wishes it was by letter as she doesn't want to be verbally twisted into any trick questions on te phone.
The assesment report has the first part missing, it starts in the middle of a broken sentance then continues to tell a lot of lies which didn't happen at that meeting. -
ok so you have one month from the 30th to ask for an MR
Although it is important to address the lies, this will not win you the award you deserve. Did you score any points at all ? Is it the decision letter that is incomplete or the assessment report which is separate thing ?
if you can you should get help from CAB or any charity that supports your condition
For now you need to concetrate on showing that you meet the descriptors for an award
Most HCP' and DM's don't take into account the reliability factors and make their decisions on a snap shot of your life, how you were at the time.
To complete any of the descriptors you need to do so Safely, Repeatedly, In a timely manner and to an acceptable standard.
Go through each descriptor one at a time and see how these factors may apply
You should also look at each activity and break it down into
what the activity is ie Preparing food
Can you prepare a simple meal ?
If not, why not ?
What is it about your condition that stops you doing so ?
Can you do so if you have help or and aid ?
What happens if you don't have help or an aid
Do this for each descriptor for your MR
There is a template that you or yous carer can used for the MR

and some additional information

Please come back with any questions and i will do my best to help

Thank you most kindly, I'll keep a copy of this and battle on with them.
In my opinion these people should be criminalised and prosecuted for criminal deceit, along with Cameron, Duncan Smith, and May.

Hello Steve
I can only add to CR's post be putting a link to information on how to challenge a DWP decision. This is useful as it gives a further link to the scoring system on which PIP is awarded, and then explains how to lodge a Mandatory reconsideration.
Good luck, and please post again if you have any further queries or difficulties.

Cockyrebel mine is from 29 same a lot off lies
They even got my medication wrong
Am going round in circles
How do I mention the lies
She said I had a cup off water
I started a complaint letter
Please help -
Thankyou all for your information but this is what my carer and I are so concerned about. It seems that everybody has contradicting info. Either it does stop or it doesn't. DWP goalposts keep shifting. I've had my diagnosis official since 1982. and they are now trying to tell me that it has no effect on my life. My GP says I should have been dead years ago and she does not know how I survived this far? I'm 61yrs old and feel ashamed to be alive.

Your original question wasBeen turned down for PIP - will I lose carers and ESA?
Simple answer
ESA will not stop it is unconnected to PIP
Carers will stop as that is dependant on you receiving PIP
