ways to help anxiety

hello this is the first time I have been on here as I am not very good at communicating as I suffer from very high anxiety and depression and am disabled does anyone know of ways to help with my anxiety thank you lez4di

Hi @lez4di welcome . Me too. Do you use a mobile or tablet ? You can get good apps for free for anxiety on google play or apple store. The latest ones are based on mindfulness or breathing techniques and other helpful stuff for lessening anxiety. I have lots of different things that work for myself but everyone finds different things that work for them. I do simple puzzle games on apps that distract me. I do mood apps. I do journaling. I do creative writing. I enjoy white noise, relaxation and simple laugh out loud funny videos on YouTube . I find headphones very comforting as it shuts out the world and I can focus on what I’m listening to or watching. I like to walk for 20 minutes plus 4 or 5 times a week as I have agoraphobia and panic disorder as well and it helps me to focus on one task and get outside. I struggle every day as you probably know but there is so much you can do to help anxiety now. Have you told your gp and do you see any specialists about it? I self referred to a local charitable organisation and got one to one therapy from them as well as ongoing support through various other things. It can take much longer through NHS but still with doing

We do have people here who struggle with communication, and you are far from alone here, if that helps?
If you can manage it - in your own time, no hurry, no pressure - it would be useful if you could tell us more about yourself. Try not to let that sound threatening, because no one here is going to judge you, belittle you or otherwise give you a hard time. Should anybody try - which is highly unlikely - they'd get very short shrift from the rest of us.
The key thing is that you matter. You matter to me, you matter to us, and the only desire we have is to find ways to help you.
If you can tell us a bit more about yourself - what your diagnosis is if you have one, what difficulties you are facing, things like that - it will just help us to find ways to help and support you.
