Hi Kay12345
This sounds like maladministration to me - i.e. like someone's hit the 'close' button when they shouldn't have.
My advice would be to stay on their backs about it - keep calling them (at least every other day) until you're satisfied the issue is resolved, and if it's still persisting within a week, I'd recommend putting a complaint in writing to both capita and the DWP asking them to please rectify the situation without further delay.
Hopefully they've already seen the error from your call today, but don't count on it!
Best wishes, and let us know how you're getting on with it!
