I ham in receipt of contribution based esa.
I just received the form to fill in to apply for income based esa. I did not ask for the form. It just came.
My question is- do I need to apply for this or can I refuse. I don’t want to apply for more money.
I have savings and I don’t think it’s compatible with the income related esa. And I also don’t want to go through all it again. I had the esa and the pop forms to fill in at the same time 2 years ago and medical etc.
Hope simeone can inform me if i if I need to fill it in or can I say no to the DWP.
Thank you fir for any help. Appreciated so much.

If you do not fill in and return the form you will not be assessed for the IR elementIf you have savings in excess of £16000 you won't qualifyBe all you can be, make every day count. Namaste

I thought you still had to fill it in. And they then decide.

Well I definitely I don’t have 16k savings.lol
it’s more that I don’t want to go through the stress again. I get enough money with my pip and contributory esa.

Hi @callymum, and welcome!
I know it's not a solution, but you may be interested in this extra money and help PIP entitles you to. -
The decision to return the form is yours, doing so will not trigger a f2f it is simply a financial check to see if you have been underpaid. If you are entitled to an IR top up then you may also qualify for some help with NHS services such as dental treatment and eye tests

The dental treatment would be great. But I’m just so terrified of applying for anything extra.
The stress it brings on my SLE symptoms and it’s horrible.
If I definitely don’t need to return and apply then I’m happy with that. Thank you Cockney Rebel and everyone’s reply. -
Pippa scope I will check that page out as well. thank you.
