Hi all,
My name’s Natalie, I’m mom to 4 boys aged 20, 15, 14 and 10. My 14 year old has Downs Syndrome and I just wanted to share details of a group that takes place each Friday during term time at The Children’s Centre, Purcell Avenue in Lichfield WS13 7PH.
It’s a parent led group and all group leaders have at least one child with a disability/SEN - Autism, Downs, ADHD, anxiety, microcephalic, to name a few or still awaiting diagnosis
It runs between 9.15 and 12 ish and caters for all parents/carers(no children unfortunately) who simply get together for coffee/tea and biscuits to chat/support/offload/signpost each other through and is of great benefit to all that attend. It’s aptly named ‘Friday Club’ and you’re more than welcome to come along an join us. You can call the children’s centre on 01543 512024 if you wanted any further information, or just respond to this post.
There is also a group which welcomes the pre schoolers who have SEN/disability/awaiting diagnosis which is held at the same venue on a Wednesday from 1.15pm- 3pm and is called ‘Little Stars.
Thanks all, it would be great to have some of you come along and join us ?
