Isolation of deaf

I think the idea of sending out postcards etc to the lonely is such a good idea. I for one know how deaf can isolate. Pen pals would be so good too even for those of we already retired. I had penpals years ago for the same reason. Lack of sound.

I have Auditory Processing Disorder, a listening disability, or the brain not being able to process what the ears hear. We have similar support requirements needing support using alternatives to sound based communication.
I have found the internet useful as I can join online groups and post replies in my own time as replies are not expected to be immediate as happens when others use sound based communication, such as speech.
I hope you find others who will become your penpals.
