I would say it's the joy of seeing all my friends and families faces when they open their gifts I've brought them. I haven't really enjoyed Christmas since my dad died 8 years ago as he was the main person who made Christmas what it was. I do try to be as positive as possible now ??

The annual reminder that we have a Saviour, and to put our trust in Him alone.
Anybody here heard of Joni Eareckson Tada? She is quadriplegic following a diving accident in 1967. One of the many inspiring people I follow. -
Thank you for sharing this @Tammyjane33, Christmas can be a difficult time if we've lost loved ones. I really hope you have lovely day and can spend the day with friends and family.

On Christmas day I like the fact that nobody is expected to leave the house. I don't know why I like that. And of course seeing family.

Being slightly inebriated for a whole week and not feeling guilty, also binge watching Poirot and miss marple. Being very lazy, eating a mahoosive box of chocolates and not judging myself, being able to retreat from the world without feeling judged for it.

Family traditions like xmas eve boxes having new pjs and DVD. Then spending time with family enjoying cooking xmas dinner all together and the best is seeing the delight on kids faces and creating the magic for them
