I like how this forum is all about equality... Until it comes to potatoes!
Personally, I can't stand mash I'm afraid...can't eat anything soft! I do like potato waffles though...but not with Christmas dinner haha! Will be Aunt Bessie's Roasts for me on the day...
The one scent that makes xmas dinner for me has to be the honey roast parsnips though!
With regards to bringing something myself, I can't make anything but I'll supply the drinks for us teetotallers... Elderflower Presse anyone?

There is nothing equal about potatoes @OverlyAnxious. There's a hierarchy with roast potatoes and thick-cut chips reigning supreme.

It's clear potatoes can divide even the strongest of communities @OverlyAnxious!
Elderflower Presse sounds lovely!

Right, there's only one thing for it lads.
Mashed roast potatoes. THERE! I said it... -
I had to look to see if such a thing existed @JenCo and found smashed roasted potatoes which actually look pretty good. Not adding them to my Christmas dinner this year, but might well try them some time!

@Adrian_Scope they actually look really good. I'm not cooking Christmas dinner myself this year as going to spend it with my daughter, her partner and future mother in law but i will be trying those in the new year with my roast dinner.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
i will have a go at the mashed roast potatoes. I can't use a peeler because I can't grip it!
