Hi @Firefly123 I understand your shock at the result from your recent hearing test, hopefully you can get the hearing aids sorted and will be satisfied with the difference it will make.

I'm sorry it's been a shock @Firefly123
When everything has settled I hope you have a fantastic experience with hearing aids.
My HA changed my life when I got them, they absolutely made my life so much better, more vibrant and more fun (I had no idea how much I was missing) Keeping my fingers crossed that you have a similarly lovely time with yours. It'll all be worth it

How you doing now Firefly?
I was able to choose coloured hearing aids at the audiology clinic. They were smart. But sadly they didn't help and since then I have found out my hearing loss is due to MS and cant be helped.
I hope you get the benefit.

Hi I'm finding it hard to get used to them and when I do try to keep them in everything seems to taste strange. I did notice the amount of things that I didn't hear without them.
Sorry to hear they didn't help you x -
Hi @Firefly123, it must be hard to adjust. Are you able to go back if you continue to struggle with them?

Hi @Firefly123 How are you getting on now with them, it will take time and patience like anything else to get used to them . good luck
-
Hi I'm only using them for a few hours a day as I've been getting bad headaches. I have an appointment to go back at the end of this month to see how it's going. Thanks for asking x
