good day I hope your all staying safe.
I have got into debt with my gas and electric and scottish power are asking for £235 per month off me brtween my conbined gas and electric out of my benefits.
I was thinking of asking if my benefits would pay it straight to scottish power and if they did how much would they take of me fortnightly.
Any ideas

Hi @ollieandduke. That is a very high monthly amount. Did they give a reason for rejecting your claim to the hardship fund?
I can't find any information as to how much they can take (I will keep looking) but it says the energy company can apply, it doesn't just have to be the benefit claimant.
It might be worth you looking into applying for the British Gas Energy Trust. You don't have to be a British Gas customer.
