They're completely different benefits. PIP isn't part of UC.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Yes you can PIP while claiming other benefits they are not related or connected in any way.

@Boyden1964..Great news! Can I ask what your disabilities were that you received it on?
-
I have COPD osteoarthritis I was lucky that I had good clinic letters saying what difficulties I have and how it effects me day to day. On the assessor's report it said given the medical evidence it's not going to get better but worse. I was surprised I got awarded enhanced on both as I only sent in 3 letters with my form my advice only send evidence that is relevant to your claim.

Hi @Justcheckingin15 - it's worth mentioning that a specific disability doesn't necessarily mean a person might get PIP, rather the impact of a person's disability with the activities/descriptors that are looked at with PIP. Several people with the same disorder will be affected differently, so some might qualify for PIP; others not.@Boyden1964 makes a good point.....often less is more, & only include medical evidence that's relevant to a PIP claim. !0 letters all just giving a diagnosis aren't needed unless any can give insight into how a person's functional ability is affected
