I'm wondering what Scope actually does for disabled people.
Does it just employ people to pat us on head whilst raking in high profits.
I've got cp big deal but what I hated as kid was those bloody spastic society collection things.
How to try and make me an object of pity thanks scopeoids.
You changed your cover id but now the word scope is shouted at kids.
Are you just a group of patronising mumsys I wonder.
Why hasn't the site got a chatroom?.
Is it because you can't comprehend that we are adults?.
Yes I've met scopers who offered me a trip to bloody seaside with no pubbing/clubbing or fun involved.
Now there's this awkward campaign great way to identify disability with awkwardness.
How about a success campaign or even just a great laugh campaign?.
But no scopeoids think of us CPers as awkward.

Hi Scope has changed a lot since the days of The Spastic Society ( I utterly despised the name too). Certainly not a group of patronising mumsys well not anymore. the site is constantly developing so a chat room function may be a part of the future. Primarily, the site is aimed at adults, young adults, parents of children with a disability, or anybody who wants to talk. We cover a range of subjects from employment to sex and relationships and almost everything in between. Stick around you might like it.Scope

Thanks for yr prompt reply bud .
In terms of the chatroom function it's not difficult to have both an all ages mainspace and a password protected adult area.
would you believe that I first asked why no chatroom about a year ago?.
The previous forum they did people weren't allowed to exchange email addresses or any contact info.
Then there was scope shop in york that had a step up to which made half the shop inaccessible and had a policy of not even employing people with CP even after they showed that they could work till/make change etc.
-Sorry dearie we d love to but
(Whisper voice)
.....yr handicapped.
hey speeding easer how about setting date/GMT so we could chitchat ?.o
If you could chase the figure's on what percentages of cp to ab are employed by scope I'd be realy interested.
Then recently there was the scope cold caller who was spluttering with rage because after I told him that I'm a cper he automatically assumed I'd sign up.
-You got cp you must sign up.
I was entertaing a darling belly dancer at time so realy wasn't in mood for a twit that started talking in slow slow slower voice and spelling out S-C-O-P -E.
I speak very slowly myself but I won't say what I spelt out for him as young uns might read this. -
I've just miss typed speedingceaser as speeding easy .

Hi
What i will do is, see if i find some data to your questions on employment. I get a similar reaction from charity callers at my door from the RSPCA when they see we have a dog! I feel that it is more of a training issue. Usually the evenings are the best time to catch me on the forums.Scope
