Hello, I am a 22 year old final year student in University of Derby. As my final year project I am looking into electric wheelchairs. I would like to know what problems you have with electric wheelchairs and what you would like a perfect wheelchair in an ideal world. Let your creativeness flow and let me know! whether it be as simple as being a different colour or something complicated to do with the components within, share ideas. I would like to add your answers into my research, just for reassurance i will not be using names or any personal data that you give.
I will also be creating a questionnaire soon and will add the link to this discussion once it is completed if this discussion gets interest.

Hi @Lindsey123, welcome to the community. I think this thread on custom-designed wheelchairs may interest you - https://community.scope.org.uk/discussion/30040/wheelchairs-arent-used-they-are-worn

My main issue with my chair I see size it quite big doesn't fold and fit into boot of a car so am restricted when it comes to people taking me out so use my own self propelled chair but this makes me sore and less independence as usually need pushing, also doorways not being big enough for chair
