Hi everyone, I'm 33 and have cp which fortunately only affects my coordination, grip strength and saliva production.
I've consistently had chest infections and wondered if this might be due to excessive salivating while asleep?
My mobility in my joints is getting worse, I had a blood test for RA as a teenager which was clear but I'm wondering if I can ask for an X-ray or something?

People with cp are much more prone to chest infections. I recently learnt that this can be because most of us (if born prematurely) have premature lungs. I find putting a teaspoon of Vicks vapour rub in a hot bath can be really helpful when my chest is bad. As well as helping brilliantly with joint and muscle pain. Be really carful getting out though maybe purchase a non slip mat as can some times make bath slippery. Alternatively putting some on your chest and hurting joints whilst in the shower helps just as well x
